After this fantastic Summer now is the time to display the results of all the hard work that you have put in to your gardens and allotments. The Society is, for the first time, holding its Autumn Show on a SUNDAY, 9th September and the committee needs your help in promoting it to your friends, to enter lots of exhibits, donate plants, jams, chutneys etc to our produce stall and to turn up in numbers on the day to ensure that the show is a success.
The committee will be setting up in the Barn at 7.30am on Sunday morning and if any of you happen to be walking the dog or getting a paper and are near the Barn then you will be very welcome to come along and help put up tables or stay behind at the end of the show to help clear the tables away.
As usual all entries need to be with the Show Manager by Wednesday, 5th September by 8pm.
On Sunday, 9th September you will be able to come to the Barn from 9 to 11am to set up. Judging will take place from 11 to 12 and the show will open to the public at 1pm. Prizes will be given out at 4pm and our guest is Catherine Dann, President of the Eastcote Horticultural Society and a former Councillor and Lady Mayoress for Hillingdon.
Throughout the afternoon there will be refreshments served and a raffle.
You will also be able to buy tickets for the Nick Bailey talk – 365 days of Colour, September 18th (£10 each) and for our annual Quiz supper on the 27th October (£10 per person).
