The 2022 Spring Show was a success thanks to all the members who participated and helped. We were also helped by good, warm and sunny weather. We saw 178 entries from 23 members. These included some entries to Floral Art section which was absent from the two previous shows. The strongest section was Daffodils with many flowers brightening the room and contributing to the wonderful bouquet of scents. There was good participation in General Floral section, especially class 20 (6 hellebore blooms on moss) and 26 (3 camellia flowers floating in a bowl).  Many spring bulbs were present: a smattering of tulips, muscari and hyacinths. As always there was an impressive parade of beautiful and bizarre cacti and succulents. Many interesting cacti and succulents were available for purchase from members of Cacti section of the Society. The Handicrafts and Domestic sections were once again very popular, and the numbers of photographic entries appear to keep expanding every time. The exhibition part of the show was great. We had a couple of exhibits from local schools which were marvellous and their participation is greatly appreciated. They were especially lucky in the raffle and excitingly picked flower prizes over chocolate. There was tea, coffee and cake available to purchase and enjoy at one of the tables decorated with fresh flower arrangements. We would like to thank everyone involved for their help with the Show. Finally we would like to thank Mark, the manager of our local Hilliers, for addressing the audience present and drawing the raffle. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again at our Summer Show in June!
